MidAtlantic IADA supports legislative changes that improve and enhance the dealer licensing process and promote honesty and fair dealing while protecting Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware dealers from unfair competition from unlicensed individuals and supporting an automobile environment that creates favorable protections for automobile dealers, lienholders, and customers.

This legislative session PIADA has begun working with members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to introduce two pieces of legislation:
House Bill 2064 (Login to view PDF) (Culver-R) Amends Title 75 (Vehicles), further providing for certificate of salvage required, for transfer to vehicle salvage dealer, for transfer to scrap metal processor and for penalty; further providing for impoundment for nonpayment of fines.
House Bill 2372 (Login to view PDF) (Schmitt-R) Amends Title 75 (Vehicles), further providing for definitions; further providing for reports by private property owners of abandoned vehicles and providing for abandoned vehicles at wholesale vehicle auctions.
